WPC profile projects can cover decking, wall cladding, trim, rails and other continuous sections. They should begin with the exact profile drawing, polymer and fibre or filler system, target density, visible surface and installation interface.
This page focuses on continuous WPC profiles rather than wide door panels or door frames. Keeping those products separate makes tooling, calibration, downstream handling and search intent clearer.
Typical equipment scope
- Wood fibre or filler drying, dosing, mixing and feeding when required
- Compounding or direct-extrusion route defined from the formulation workflow
- Profile extruder and product-specific tooling
- Vacuum calibration, cooling and profile support
- Haul-off, cutting and collection
- Optional co-extruded surface layer when specified
- Optional embossing, sanding or brushing interfaces
- Scrap handling and material-return boundary defined separately
The final station list follows the approved product drawing, material route and buyer-supplied factory conditions. Optional operations should be priced separately so quotations remain comparable.
Information needed for a proposal
- Dimensioned profile drawing and mating or fastening interfaces
- Polymer, fibre or filler type and available formulation information
- Moisture-control and material-preparation workflow
- Profile width, height, wall structure and tolerance table
- Target density or weight per metre with measurement method
- Visible-surface color, texture and co-extrusion requirement
- Cut length, end condition and package format
- Embossing, sanding, brushing or other finishing steps
- Target production rate and planned profile mix
- Factory power, cooling, dust collection and layout
Points to confirm before ordering
- Compare quotations using the same formulation route: direct extrusion and pre-compounded material can require different upstream equipment.
- Approve every profile drawing and change-part list rather than treating one die as a complete product family.
- Define visible-surface acceptance after any co-extrusion, embossing, sanding or brushing step.
- Separate extrusion scrap collection from any promised reuse percentage unless the material has been tested.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as a WPC door and frame line?
No. This page targets continuous decking, cladding and trim profiles. Wide door products and frames can require different tooling, calibration, cutting and finishing and have their own page.
Is material preparation part of the line?
It can be included after the polymer, fibre or filler, moisture condition, dosing accuracy and compounding route are defined.
Can several surface finishes be produced?
Possible finishes depend on the profile, surface layer and downstream equipment. List each required texture or treatment so the proposal can separate standard and optional stations.
