A fiber-reinforced PVC hose is a layered product. The inner tube, reinforcement and outer layer must work together, so a useful equipment proposal starts with the complete hose construction rather than diameter alone.
The line discussion can cover inner-layer extrusion, reinforcement or braiding, outer-layer extrusion, cooling, pulling and winding. The exact station sequence, number of extruders, tooling and controls depend on the construction drawing, reinforcement material and changeover plan.
Information needed for quotation
- Hose application and applicable standard
- PVC formulation or compound information
- Inside diameter, outside diameter and wall range
- Inner, reinforcement and outer-layer structure
- Fiber type, yarn specification and braid pattern
- Transparency, color, stripe and marking requirements
- Working or test requirements stated by the product standard
- Coil length, coil diameter and packing method
- Target output, electrical supply and workshop conditions
Avoid an incomplete comparison
Check whether each quotation includes all extrusion stages, reinforcement equipment, tooling for the priority sizes, cooling, haul-off, winding and required auxiliaries. Ask suppliers to identify buyer-supplied equipment and utilities separately.
