A PP steel-wire telescopic tube uses a polymer wall and a helical wire to combine flexibility, shape control and an extendable product form. The wire, wall profile and connection geometry must be developed as one cross-section.

The quotation should state how the polymer is formed around the wire, how the tube is cooled and pulled, and how expanded and compressed lengths will be handled. A generic flexible-hose line description is not enough for this product.

  7. End connection, clamp or fitting details
  8. Cut length, compressed pack length and packing method
  9. Target production rate and product mix
  10. Voltage, cooling water, compressed air and workshop layout

Points to confirm before ordering

  • Inspect wire position and pitch together with the finished tube dimensions.
  • Define expanded and compressed measurement conditions to avoid comparing different test states.
  • Confirm whether end forming, fittings and clamps are included or buyer supplied.
  • Record the material, tooling, stable operating conditions and accepted samples during the factory test.

Frequently asked questions

Can the same line change tube diameter?

A diameter range may require different dies, forming tools, wire settings and downstream guides. Provide the full size list for a changeover review.

How should telescopic performance be accepted?

The technical agreement should name the expanded length, compressed length, number of cycles if relevant, conditioning and measurement method.

Can connectors be produced on the same line?

Connector manufacture and assembly are separate process questions. Send the connection drawing so the boundary can be quoted accurately.
